According to ANACOM, the provision of the service by more than one operator in the same region implies the possibility of multiple cabling of the same conventional dwellings. This means that in the sum of the households lined up by all operators, where the values reported by each of them are aggregated, there may be double counting. This is evident, for example, in the Lisbon region, where the sum of cabled onventional dwellings by all operators is higher than the total number of households. This has been gaining relevance with the increase in competition between operators.
For the year 2016, it was considered the number of conventional dwellings referring to 2015 (the most recent year of INE).
